Sergio Perez has been announced as the second driver to Max Verstappen at Red Bull for the 2021 season - replacing Alex Albon who looks set to take up a reserve driver role at the team.

Perez managed a career best fourth in the Drivers Championship much closer to Max Verstappen than Albon did who finished seventh behind Verstappen but also Sainz and Ricciardo.

Perez managed his first win in F1 at the Sakhir Grand Prix - whilst Albon managed his first and second podium in F1 - the first at the Tuscan Grand Prix, then finally at the Bahrain Grand Prix.

It will be an interesting battle to watch unfold during the 2021 season and definitely one of the strongest pairing's on the grid for next year.

This announcement all but completes the grid for next season as although Hamilton isn't confirmed for next year - it's unlikely the Seven Times World Champion won't sign a new deal with the Silver Arrows.
