Today it was announced that Carlos Sainz would race for Scuderia Ferrari alongside Charles Leclerc for 2021 leaving the McLaren team after just one year and achieving his first podium at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

With Sainz departing McLaren - the Woking based team had to find a replacement and so they went for and signed Daniel Ricciardo from Renault a driver they have wanted previously. The two questions that have come from these announcements include;

Where does Sebastian Vettel go?

Who will Renault sign as a replacement for Ricciardo?

As for replacements at Renault there is the (low) possibility that Fernando Alonso could make a return with the slowly improving Renault team - the team that of course helped Alonso achieve his two World Championships, they could bring back the recently departed Nico Hulkenberg who has made it clear he wants to return to the sport. Or Renault could look to their Young Driver Program with the likes of F2 driver Zhou who made a great impression last season.

As for where Vettel will end up in 2021 remains a mystery ultimately fans want him to go to Mercedes to partner Lewis Hamilton to give fans the fight they have wanted for years - the two titans of Formula One who have dominated the last 20 years to fight it out for a title in equal machinery - or will Vettel take this time and decide to retire a fact no one wants to happen.
