Hamilton made it six wins in Spain after a perfect start from second on the grid behind teammate Bottas. After a clutch problem for car number 77 - it was a simple task for Lewis who in the end had a near perfect race day.

Hamilton's weekend may have ended well but it was the opposite for Racing Points Lance Stroll and McLaren's Lando Norris after the two battled side by side for a good part of the lap and then Norris attempted a move around the outside and Stroll then turned in too early which eventually led to the incident between the two youngsters.

It was a good weekend for Red Bull with Max Verstappen finishing a very respectable third place ahead of both Ferrari's and Pierre Gasly finishing in six place after a disappointing non-finish in Baku.

The top five for the fifth round was:

1. Lewis Hamilton

2. Valterri Bottas

3. Max Verstappen

4. Sebastian Vettel

5. Charles Leclerc

The next round is Monaco.
