F1 2019 DRIVER MARKET: AS IT STANDS

F1 Class of 2018

With the majority of seats confirmed already for the 2019 season only 3 seats remain one at Force India, Toro Rosso and Williams. The question is who?

The big moves already confirmed for the upcoming season include Ricciardo moving from Red Bull to the works Renault team, Kimi Raikkonen swapping seats with Leclerc and moving to Sauber and Sainz making the switch from Toro Rosso to McLaren.

There are currently three new young drivers making the step up to Formula One with young brit Lando Norris at McLaren, the Mercedes young driver George Russel at Williams and finally Antonio Giovinazzi - the talented Italian at Sauber.

One question everyone is asking is where will Esteban Ocon be come the 2019 season at the moment it seems that the young star will be sat on the sidelines for 2019 as it seems unlikely that Williams will take him on and instead opt for current driver Lance Stroll who has been linked with a drive for Force India after his father purchased the team earlier this year. Of course you cant count Sergey Sirotkin out who has had some impressive drives this year.

As it stands the current driver line up is:

Mercedes: Lewis Hamilton & Valtteri Bottas

-

Ferrari: Sebastian Vettel & Charles Leclerc

-

Red Bull: Max Verstappen & Pierre Gasly

-

Renault: Daniel Ricciardo & Nico Hulkenberg

McLaren: Carlos Sainz & Lando Norris

-

Force India: Sergio Perez & TBC

-

Toro Rosso: Daniil Kvyat & TBC

-

But for now all we can do is wait...
